RIME has closed a Seed round of more than $2 million, led by SEEDRA Ventures, with participation from Athlah Investment, Unity Invest Partners and a group of angel investors.

What RIME builds

RIME was founded in Riyadh in 2024 by Mohammed Almarshidi and Aarif Al-Otaibi. It builds the platform that lets businesses run AI agents inside their physical sites: stores, branches and service centres. The agents work on the cameras and sensors already installed, and the decision is made on site, at the moment the event happens, rather than in a distant data centre.

At the time of the announcement, the platform connected more than 6,000 cameras to AI agents across retail and service chains in the GCC.

Where the funding goes

RIME will use the round to:

  • strengthen its commercial presence in Saudi Arabia;
  • accelerate engineering on its physical-AI software stack;
  • help enterprise clients deploy local automation at scale, in line with Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Data and AI.
